Why Choose Ravenswood Consulting?
At Ravenswood Consulting we understand the process of living with trauma and addictions. We are here to help you and your loved ones learn to live a life of balance and clarity.
Our drug and alcohol specialist, Geri Bemister, values the client’s feelings and perspective. She provides empathetic and knowledgeable feedback and insight for the client’s well-being
We offer years of academia, field work including interventions, life experience and spiritual training. Our level of discernment speaks through our work and life of service, unity, and recovery
We are familiar with the struggles and isolation of trauma and addiction. Our objective is to use our abilities to help those in need. Suffering isn’t necessary, recovery is your choice.
Our interventions are orchestrated with family and friends of the individual requiring help. Often interventions take place following a crisis or event causing trauma where the addict can no longer maintain the illusion of healthy functionality in their day-to-day life.
More About Interventions
Often interventions take place following a crisis or event causing trauma where the addict can no longer maintain the illusion of healthy functionality in their day-to-day life. Families reach out to professional interventionists when other tactics to curb the addiction have failed or been exhausted. Addiction to drugs and alcohol frequently causes other serious problems socially, physically and legally, which all affect the family system—hiring a skilled professional ensures objectivity and the best possible outcome in a controlled environment overseen by your interventionist. Our goal is to approach the addict with love and care because it is common that they do not know their addiction is out of control or how it has impacted their life and the lives of those around them.
Therapy & Counselling
Depending on the history, trauma and addiction of the client, we may suggest therapy or counselling sessions. Therapy and counselling are fundamentally different practices, but both are focused on helping the individual get to a better place in their life whether that means recovering lost confidence or lost health.
More About Therapy & Counselling
Therapy and counselling are fundamentally different practices, but both are focused on helping the individual get to a better place in their life whether that means recovering lost confidence or lost health. For those who are willing and prepared to take this step we advise that you seek a certified and trusted professional as this work enters the subconscious to identify central issues and problems.
This is one-on-one support for the newly recovered person in real-time and day-to-day life. The objective of recovery coaching is to get the individual accustomed to sober living in tandem as their reintroduction back to society.
More About Sober Companions
Living sober means living as the new you, and the best way to safeguard your success is to have a sober companion at your side in the critical early days of reintegration while maintaining your drug and alcohol-free lifestyle and attending 12-step groups. Together we will work to create healthy and mindful daily routines until you are ready to regain your independence. Your sober companion will be a trustworthy and established professional in recovery to help guide you in your newly sustainable lifestyle. This is a critical step of-
ten overlooked by those who complete inpatient treatment programs. We strongly advise seeking a sober companion as a full-time mentor for anyone new to recovery as means of relapse prevention programming. Sober companions are also available to people who have gotten stuck in a cycle of relapsing with their addiction, for people who struggle to maintain their sobriety, for those who are continuously unhappy or depressed in their recovery.
